Russell Wilson Takes Nasty Shot To Head On Interception Return

Russell Wilson took a brutal hit from Clay Matthews on Ha Ha Clinton-Dix's interception return.

Clay Mathews was called for a blindside block on Russell Wilson during Ha Ha Clinton-Dix's interception return and it wasn't so much a blindside block as it was a helmet-rattling hit. Clinton-Dix made a great play to coral the interception and returned it 27 yards and the hit on Wilson came at the tail end of his return.

Wilson had yet to throw a completion at that point, and the Seahawks ran six straight running plays on their next possession. When they finally threw it Wilson went incomplete, short to Ricardo Lockette for his first completion, and then he was picked off again in the end zone. It's always a natural instinct to speculate about injuries-and the FOX crew mentioned it at the half-but for now, just remember that Wilson has looked off before the hit and since it.
