Ok, Chris Kronner. You had us at "bread pudding." Did you really have to make it "savory bacon bread pudding"?

How fast can we whip this up and shove it down our gullets?

Chef Kronner is, of course, known throughout the Bay Area and beyond for his outrageous burgers. The man knows his way around all things savory, and has generously shared his beef sliders and patty melt recipes with us in the past. His Kronnerburger—which he started making at a pop-up in San Francisco but is now served at his restaurant by the same name—is a thing of legend.

Now, Kronner is bringing his mojo to breakfast—and we couldn't be happier. Although pancakes and French toast totally have their place in the AM, sometimes morning calls for something with a little more unctuous and umami than sweet. Which is not to say that you can't have this savory bread pudding for dinner—because you can. And you should.

Let's stop talking so you can start cooking. This is swoon-worthy stuff; you need to make it now.
