The Adelaideian maestro of Melbourne bounce, Uberjak'd, has been traipsing around Los Angeles recently, working on tracks, working crowds into a shuffled-out frenzy, and sampling some of the local wares. And he's got something to say. "America's got the best drunk food," Uberjak'd tells THUMP. "The taco game's not bad in Australia, don't get me wrong, but it's not a taco game like in Los Angeles. You've got huge taco game up here. I had a shrimp burrito and a fish taco that was up there for the top five, I reckon."We caught Uberjak'd's closing set at Splash House in Palm Springs last weekend, where his performance induced a poolside shuffle frenzy that was an insurance salesman's wet dream. In his words: "Splash House was good, man. I was bringing a bit of bounce to the lineup. Any party that's outside is great, if it's got a pool, even better – but that can be incredibly dangerous. People raving in a pool, swimming and shit, if you tell 'em to put their hands up, they might drown!"We've got the exclusive stream on "Yahtzee," the third track off of his upcoming Turn up the Club EP, and we were curious about the title. "I think it had like 3 names before it got that name," Jak'd explains, "It was one of those that sat on my SD card, like 'work in progress'..I ended up calling it Yahtzee, but I dunno what that means. It's a game, right? Is it the one where you pop the ball? Roll the dice? To be honest, the tune kind of sounded like it was saying 'Yahtzee' to me."Related:
