LA based legacy indie pop band, M83, have shared a lush and celebratory new track off their forthcoming seventh studio LP, Junk. Like a lot of the band's best work, "Go!" is an unabashedly earnest, over-the-top, and stadium-ready love song, sung by Franco-Vietnamese artist Mai Lan and graced with a guitar solo from none other than the virtuosic Steve Vai.

"We asked [Vai] for the craziest space solo possible, which wasn't hard for him," bandleader Anthony Gonazalez explained in the press release. "He sent us three different takes, and we blended two to make the ultimate Steve Vai solo. It was amazing to work with him."

Last year, M83 and pioneering French synthesist Jean-Michel Jarre partnered up for a cinematic music video exploring the complexities of spectatorship and competition.

Junk will be out this Friday, April 8, via Mute Records in the US and Naïve Records in France.
