Ryan Lynch is another from the stable of "used to play in

Holy Shit

then has awesome new band," along with Ariel Pink, John Maus and Christopher Owens. Ever since we got excited about his project

Dominant Legs,

we've been waiting for him to let us down. He hasn't and this is a track from his excellent debut EP out on Lefse.

Where most disco geeks spend their time searching for that forgotten obscure record that someone else is made,

Beautiful Swimmers

just try and make their own. They've succeeded again with this weirdo disco funk jam with echoes of Holger Czukay's "Cool in the Pool".

Weird-punks

Nice Face

have been raved about by us before, but their

Immer Etwas

LP isn't getting any worse however many times we listen to it, so why would we stop talking about them? Here's a choice cut from the LP.

I can't say I'm too fussed on prep-rockers Princeton, but the Kivel brothers who form an integral part of that group have some pretty interesting side projects. Jesse making disco-pop as Kisses and Matt (with help from Jesse) makes shoegazey dream-pop songs as Sleeping Bags. Here's their first single.

SLEEPING BAGS - "CANTALOUPE"

Lay Bac

's so chilled that nothing much happens in their songs.
