'The Daily Show' Made a Supercut of Jon Stewart's Greatest Screams and Nipple Pinches

A sober and fitting tribute to the retiring news icon.

Jon Stewart took over as host of of then-pop-culture-focused Daily Show in 1999, and quickly sculpted it into the legendary news satire juggernaut it is today. Now, almost two decades later, Stewart is signing off, leaving the throne to up-and-comer Trevor Noah. Noah will officially take over in September, and lately Stewart's been using part of his remaining time to wax nostalgic. Last night, former Daily Show correspondent John Hodgman materialized on stage from his gated space community on the moon to play a video tribute to his old boss. It's titled "John Stewart: A Pericles for America" [sic], and it's a career-spanning supercut of Stewart's best screams and squeals and guttural moans—a sober and fitting tribute to the retiring icon. Watch it above.
