A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night follows “The Girl” (Sheila Vand) on her mission to assault Bad City’s unsavoury male inhabitants. It flips the Western genre totally on it’s head, while Iranian-American director Ana Lily Amirpour evokes a film-noir feel with her black and white aesthetic.
VICE loved the melange of vampire seduction and bloodthirsty violence so much when we first caught the film at Sundance, we decided to release it on VICE Films. If you didn’t get to experience the movie when it was in cinemas – or if you’re as desperate as us to see it again – it’s out on DVD now. Better still, the Bonus Features include a Behind-the-scenes documentary and exclusive interviews with Amirpour and Vand.
