Manu Crooks Shares the Steez of Western Sydney In “Day Ones”

Watch Manu and his crew fangin' motorcycles and hanging on rooftops.

Manu Crooks' new video "Day Ones" opens with the caption 'somewhere in Australia'. It's a 'somewhere' where many of the kids have different coloured skin and come from homes where English isn't the primary language. A 'somewhere' that is often represented unfavourably by the media and politicians. But whether Western Sydney or South East Melbourne it's a somewhere that has it's own style, fashion and talent.

"We wanted to show Australia in a different light, it's not showing too much, but you still get a sense of Sydney's suburbs," Manu says of the video. "We're giving the world our steez, in terms of how we dress and the fashion out here… but you're gonna have to watch it to get the full jist of it."

The video for the lead single, from his recently released debut EP mood forever, was shot by Jáen Collective and offers a snapshot of Manu and his Sydney crew fangin' motorcycles and hanging on rooftops.

Currently on tour with Canada's Tory Lanez, Manu is set to make his debut showcase performance at Brisbane's BIGSOUND next week.
