It was around this time in 2015 when David Duchovny released his album Hell or Highwater out into the world. The world… did not love it. Despite the actor's many apparent gifts—a cultishly beloved career as an actor, charisma up to here, and —music didn't seem to be one of them.
Not long before Hell or Highwater was released, Noisey interviewed the man himself and wrote a little bit about the record. In spite of all the things we had to say about the record (which were mostly, actually all bad), Duchovny still came out looking unscathed and somehow even a bit cool. Because he's just a dude, in his middle-age, picking up a guitar and trying some stuff out. And in the end, that's really quite sweet.
Whether or not you're at all into sub-par soft-dad-folk-rock, you may well be into the idea of being in the same room as Duchovny, tour dates can be found here. Tickets on sale Friday June 2 from here.Husbands, lock up yours wives.
