Christmas is a time for spreading cheer—and putting people on to all of the quirky accoutrements you’ve been quietly hoarding for the past 12 months. Whether it’s dressing up that decaying store-bought fruit cake or recycling leftover birthday themes, pretty much anything is fair game in service of a Christmas decoration.
But if seasonal adornments haven’t been on your radar or you just don’t have room for a tree, not to worry! We’ve highlighted some experimental decorations made from the fruit of gas-station hauls and those sugary-sweet fire hazards you can find in every dollar-store aisle. After all, why put too much effort into a tree when what you actually care about is underneath it?
