Effy's Track "Move" Will Redefine Your Idea of Sexy

Stream the single off the duo’s new EP 'Distant Sounds.'

When a track is called "sexy" visions of an American Apparel employee donning a halter top dance in your head. She's gyrating against the faux brick walls of a club that's named after an inanimate object… but en Francais. Sadly, this is a skewed idea of sexy.

Minimalist basslines. Lingering, whispered vocals. Consuming techno rhythms. That's sexy.

Effy, or Kieran Craddock and Peter Fleming, are two Irishmen who have re-approached the often excessiveness of garage and tech house with their track "Move." A wonderfully unpretentious bit that gives an upgrade on what sensuality should sound like in electronic music.

In their biography on Facebook, Effy says they welcome emails that include: "nude selfies, photos of your dog wearing hilarious costumes, and poems expressing your love for pizza." Now if that's not sexy, I'm not sure what is anymore.

THUMP has the exclusive premiere of their track "Move" off their EP Distant Sounds, check it out above. The Distant Sounds EP will be available on 12" and digitally on the September 29th under Montreal's Infinite Machine label. You can preorder the 12" on Red Eye Records.
