Jamie xx Performed "Loud Places" on TV Last Night and Everyone Felt All Warm and Tingly Inside

A prime slice of not-a-dry-eye-in-the-house music.

Last night Jamie xx made an appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers and played a next-level stirring rendition of one of the In Colour's lead tracks, "Loud Places". As is stands on the album, the track is a sultry cut that blossoms and builds into a rousing chorus; but when taken to the stage last night, and fleshed out with live instruments, "Loud Places" became a prime slice of not-a-dry-eye-in-the-house music. Never one to be the centre of attention Jamie also brought a host of his musician friends with him. Bandmate Romy led with her wistful vocals, being backed by Savages' Jehnny Beth, along with Chairlift's Caroline Polachek,Moses Sumney, Okay Kaya, and the Harlem Gospel Choir. Full showcase, and what's more they seamlessly pull the album's electronic core up into warm live territories. Try and watch this one without feeling at least a little bit lovely come the end.
