Back in August of 2015, those halcyon days when Donald Trump's run for presidency seemed a mere lark, we informed you that the candidate was selling plastic red cups, presumably to the bro populace, branded with what has since become a frighteningly recognizable meme-slogan: "Make America Great Again."Well, in the harsh light of 2017, there are no larks. But the cups are back again. And this time the glaring, red, Solo-style symbols of backyard barbecues and beer pong tournaments say this: "45th President, Donald J. Trump, Inauguration Day, January 20, 2017."

They are also emblazoned with the Presidential Seal.
To be fair, an online store has become de rigueur for candidates and presidents alike. Obama's is still open, selling hipster-style t-shirts that say things like "Pride and Joy" and "Love is Love." No red cups for Obama, though. But, Trump? He's all about the red cup. On his personal website—under the "Gifts" tab—you can now buy a pack of four, 16-ounce cups for a cool $20. Rest assured, the website says the cups are "CPSIA Certified and FDA approved"—even though Trump has threatened to dissolve the FDA and the fate of the CPSIA—or Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act—is also in jeopardy under his presidency, according to Consumer Product Matters, a product safety and consumer regulation blog.Trump's website also says the cups should be "hand washed only." But we all knew that already, right? Because who would put a disposable party cup in the dishwasher, especially if you paid five bucks per cup to commemorate this historic day? What a great gift! Bros and Reddit-trolling high schoolers will surely be delighted. The rest of us? Maybe not so much.
