As the founder of Strike Gently Co, I deal in pins and patches on a daily basis. The Creators Project asked me to pull together a weekly roundup of the best newly-released pins. Most of these will probably sell out. If you like them, smash that “add to cart” button. Every Wednesday, you can head to the bottom of this article for an exclusive discount code so you can keep your pin game sharp.

Not a week goes by in the Pin Game that I don’t say, “Wow, another week has gone by in the pin game.” I see better releases every week. Some of them are cartoon bootlegs. Some of them are vintage throwback replica pins. Some of them are entirely new designs that make me envy their creators. There’s a lot of discovering to be done—if you feel like it, you can buy a bunch of stuff, too. All of these products are still in stock, so grab them while you can.

DB Pins

Our first round of designs are selling quick Don't miss out

Young people starting businesses sometimes have strange irrational fears, like getting a cease-and-desist letter from a major entertainment conglomerate for selling cheap bootleg pins on the internet. DB Pins has no such fears and no such shame. They exclusively make Dragon Ball Z pins, all of which are great and totally underpriced. Goku eating ramen is a simple idea executed perfectly and will objectively make anything you wear cooler.

Feral Social has made the Pin Roundup cut a few times because a.) I love them and b.) their releases are all really good. This new one is from a pin/patch collaboration with artist Matthew Miller. As far as pin design goes, it’s perfect. The really respectable stuff always draws from a variety of graphical influences, some of my favorites being old metal flyers, biker pins, and tattoo culture. Miller nails all three with this collaboration and even peppers in some Chinatown flavor on the patch.

Whenever I release a food-related product, people go nuts. Why? People love food. It’s OK—let your food flag fly. Show your love for infinite donuts with this pin from the aptly-named Donuts. I tried thinking up a donut pin a while ago but couldn’t come up with a good idea. Thankfully, Donuts has done that. I’m going to buy one.

3D pins are a special secret technology that only the most seasoned and thrill-seeking pin makers delve into. Wir Sind Die Toten (feel free to email me what that means because I’m too lazy to Google Translate) released the set last week. Their entire portfolio is excellent and I suggest spending some time checking it out.

Bracelegs is run by a friend of mine, Nathan. He’s 19, possibly the youngest of the pin designers I’ve met yet. He’s also probably one of the best and most successful, consistently releasing killer stuff and keeping the vibe in the positive (I tend to do the opposite!). Following the food theme, check out his rock candy and animal cracker pins. As someone who was proudly raised on metric tons of refined sugary treats, Bracelegs gets my nostalgia every time.
