Lagi Demetriou – one half of Stavros Flatley, former contestants on Britain's Got Talent – has been arrested after a police drugs bust. It has been reported that officers found a cannabis growth worth £56,000 in Demetriou's north London flat, tipped off by firefighters who reportedly discovered a watering system for 420 plants at the property in Enfield when they were investigating complaints of a leak.

You might remember the topless "Greek Riverdance" routines that Lagi performed with his dad on BGT – it's not an image that's easy to forget – when he was a loveable 13-year-old. Apparently he earned enough money during his time on the show to fork out £295,000 for the flat, but it isn't believed that he actually lives at the property and has been bailed until May pending further inquiries.

According to a friend who spoke to The Sun: "He has told the police that his mate was a tenant there. He said he doesn't know anything about the cannabis-growing operation."

His friend also claimed that Lagi and his father own a number of properties in the Enfield area, and that Lagi works as a barber when he is not dancing with Demetri. He added that Demetri was heartbroken when heard of his son's arrest and broke down in tears. "Demetri's 100 percent against drugs," he said, "and will be furious about this."
