Resolute and majestic mountain ranges spill out across the viewer’s eyesight, filling the screen with awe-inspiring visuals. Meanwhile, long-fingered river tributaries spread out in hyperlapse video, revealing an expansive natural vista with each passing second. This computer-generated videoscape is the work of Evosia Studios, and titled Ethereal. Carefully balancing his camera’s perspective, the director is enthusiastic to convey the Icelandic Highlands of Askja, Eyjafjallajökull, Kerlingarfjöll, Landmannalaugar, Thórsmörk, Vatnajökull, and Stokksnes while harnessing the cutting-edge technology of LRTimelapse and 4K60 in Premium Pro. The studios’ creator, Henry Jun Wah Lee, shares, “It took a lot of patience to shoot and edit this. The biggest challenge was that any flaws in movement get magnified in timelapse.”
Barring any motion sickness, the high-flying views are just the right amount heights and slo-mo.
