Get a win on the gee-gees is always the goods, especially if you co-own the horse.

So it's no surprise that Kiwi cricket commentator Simon "Doully" Doull celebrated when Khalama - a horse he partially owns - won race four at Thames yesterday.

According to Stuff, in Doull's excitement watching the victory, he broke a finger on his hand.

"Note to self. When your horse skips 2 lengths clear and is going to win easily, remember to tuck all fingers in as you fist punch your other palm," Doull wrote on Facebook, according to Stuff.

A former quick for New Zealand, the Hamilton-based Doull took 98 test wickets - but now spends the majority of his time commentating NZ and IPL cricket.
