Earlier this year, VICE Films and Grolsch Film Works teamed up with the directors Harmony Korine, Alexey Fedorchenko and Jan Kwiecinski to make a three-part film called The Fourth Dimension. Now, Grolsch Film Works have a new website where you can find out what they’ve been up to and read/watch interesting stuff about films. Every week we'll be plucking the highlights. This is that.
HERE'S THE TRAILER FOR PARK CHAN-WOOK'S 'STOKER'
Stoker
Lawless
The film, the first English-language feature from the director of Oldboy, centers on a girl (Wasikowska) whose uncle (Goode) comes to live with her and her unstable mother (Kidman). She’s captivated by her uncle, who she previously knew very little about and becomes increasingly curious about his enigmatic persona.
A LIST OF MOUSTACHES
What makes a man? It’s a question that’s been asked down the ages, and we can all agree that somewhere along the line, facial hair must come into the equation. Moustaches go in and out of style, but they’re always guaranteed to provoke a reaction, whether it’s cause of admiration or howls of laughter. Up on the big screen, those ‘taches are bigger, better, and have a whole lot more impact. As a celebration of the moustache, we’ve picked out some of the greatest onscreen examples of all time.
FARGO WILL BE MADE INTO A TV SERIES
It’s not uncommon that films get made into TV series. The last one we heard about was The Exorcist – can you imagine that? Us neither. Well, here’s another whacky one for you: the Coen brothers’ 1996 classic Fargo is soon to appear on the small screen. Seriously.
And here’s the most shocking thing about it all. Unlike The Exorcist TV series (whose original director, William Friedkin, will not be attached), the small-screen Fargo has already got the Academy Award-winning brothers on board to ‘executive produce’ (not to write, though), according to The Playlist.
