London - Drinking Record Of The (Last) Century

Matt Sweeney first played us this Whiskey David album last September in the Catskill Mountains at VICE co-founder Gavin's three day stag night / wedding. Sounding like AC/DC, GG Allin, Oasis, CCR and Rod Stewart on a bender, it captured the mood of the party perfectly.

Possibly one of the best obscure records ever, (try Googling it, there's nothing), Whiskey David's "Rusty Rock" came out on a Spanish label in 1975 and we've been trying to find a copy of it since last September. Eventually, Sweeney tipped us off where to score it and since then we've been playing it every night. Expect to hear this played at the Tales Of The Jackalope event this weekend.

Thanks to Andrew Weatherall for converting this to an MP3 for us. He's currently working the band Battant who have a single coming out in the next month or so.
