LONDON - STONEHENGE, THE PREHISTORIC TRANCE VENUE

A recreation of a dance-off at Trance Nation circa 2400 BC

Stonehenge, the place where neo-druids, pagans and other deluded idiots go on pilgrimages, has been revealed as a neolithic rave venue. According to Huddersfield University's Dr Till (a part-time DJ, wouldn't you know), the site was a place where trance-like music was played. The original Stonehenge had a "very pleasant, almost concert-like acoustic" which was perfect for a "repetitive trance rhythm". Dr Till also discovered that prehistoric ravers used to dance about in pink angel wings and furry moon boots while gurning their faces off. OK, I obviously made the last bit up but isn't going to Stonehenge on a pilgrimage like going to Sankeys in 3000 years and kneeling at the foot of the DJ booth where Dave Pearce used to "roll phat ones"?
