Spiritualized's "Little Girl" Video Premiere

Spiritualized's new music video follows a young scamp who steals her dad's money and motorcycle to escape her God-forsaken small town.

Directed by Vincent Haycock, "Little Girl" follows the story of a young female runaway who steals her dad’s money and motorcycle to escape the godforsaken small town she lives in. It was shot on location in Eisenhüttenstadt (Iron City), in the Oder-Spree district of Brandenburg, Germany at the border near Poland. The "little girl" referenced in the song's title is played by Chesca Miles, one of UK's top female stunt riders. The video also features some of Germany's best stunt riders, including Julian Pohl and the Eastside Xtremes—a German street bike gang from the border. The Eastside Xtremes arrived on set in their tour bus, which is tricked out with UV lighting and a stripper pole. The remaining characters were cast in dive and biker bars around Berlin and the outlining towns. In fact the Canadian cannibal porn star, Luka Rocco Magnotta, was unknowingly scouted for the video and was famously arrested in one such dive bar.

During the course of the three-day shoot, there were only two crashes, a wrecked bike, a near-death tank rattle, 12 burnt-out tires, and a broken whipped cream charger. Luckily, no one was arrested, despite the police catching the producers in the midst of filming a high-speed tracking shot on the autobahn at 4 AM. The whole thing was pretty badass.
