SHOW: LOVE TONIGHT

Tonight at Gallery Bar Aliya Naumoff, a photographer-cum-humanitarian, is having a photo show to raise awareness for the people who are still severely fucked from the earthquake in Haiti last year. Instead of eating fondue and playing with vibrators and cock rings all night, go to Show: Love so you can feel good about yourself in the morning.

Aliya recently returned from Haiti, and tonight's show features all of the work she did while there. There will also be short videos that Owen Cook made during his time in Haiti. Some of the photos will be for sale, as well as a bunch of Haitian found-art, and all proceeds go to helping people affected by the earthquake. We should also mention that there will be DJ sets from Santigold and Devo Springsteen.

The evening is sponsored by MOSCTHA, a non-profit organization that had this to say about the show:

MOSCTHA, an organization founded 25 years ago by an exiled Haitian doctor, enlisted a dynamic team of activists, artists and scholars to launch Stop Indifference. Show Love. This inspiring multi-media project took to the camps, urban centers and coastal villages of Haiti in early January to bring the stories of Haitian people to the rest of the world. After weeks spent uncovering, listening to, and documenting the stories of people affected by the earthquake, the team has returned to New York to Show: Love. and offer unique and sustainable ways to directly benefit those whose stories are featured throughout the project.
