Baylor Bench Rushes Across Field to Do some Shoving with Texas

Things got a little dicey in Waco after a kind of rough, and late, tackle on the Texas sideline. Duke Thomas intercepted fourth-string Baylor QB Lynx Hawthorne and on the return, Hawthorne took Thomas down with a modified suplex-type tackle after the whistle blew because Thomas had already stepped out of bounds. The Texas bench got a little feisty about it and someone gave Hawthorne an extra shove for his trouble. Kevin Vaccaro came off the bench to get into the mix and landed on Hawthorne for another little shot. A scuffle then began at the spot, prompting the Baylor bench to come sprinting across the field to see what was up.

Not much was up, however, and the coaches and officials quickly restored order. Vaccaro was hit with a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty and Baylor got back to the business of losing 17-0 to four-win Texas.
