After four long, shaggy months, England’s hairdressers, barbers, salons – anywhere you can get your hair trimmed, your roots dyed or a fun pattern shaved into your head – are mercifully open once again.

Photographer Chris Bethell spent Tuesday at RCNQ in Manchester’s Northern Quarter, taking before and after photos of customers and their post-lockdown cuts.
