In the Bible, when Jesus was betrayed, did he bitch and whine? No, he loved unconditionally, even when he was persecuted. In many ways, this is exactly the same as Beyoncé’s graciously given, world-stopping performance of “Love Drought” and “Sandcastles” at the Grammy Awards on Sunday night, despite Lemonade being overlooked for the Album of the Year award that we all assumed she was a lock for (having made an actual film for it). Her generosity, truly, is Christ-like.
And now, to bless her fans further, someone’s put out an isolated mic track from the night that honestly sounds better than the original recordings.
