Former UK MP Nick Clegg Has Been Offered a Job as a DJ

A bar co-founded by his Labour party successor has offered him a night called "CLEGGERS PLAYS POP."

Former Liberal Democrat leader Nick Clegg was likely disappointed to lose his seat in British Parliament to Labour's Jared O'Mara in the general election last Thursday, but at least he doesn't have to worry about his future career prospects. It should come as a great relief to Clegg that a bar in the Sheffield Hallam constituency, where he lost, has offered him a job as a DJ.

O'Mara is a co-founder of the West Street Live bar and venue in Sheffield, where he used to DJ himself twice a week, but his departure for Westminster has created an opening in the schedule. Former Deputy Prime Minister Clegg may not be in great spirits after losing the seat he had held for 12 years, but this really wouldn't be a bad next move, all things considered.

"We want him to put on a student night," said West Street Live owner Tam Ali in an interview with the BBC. "I heard he's popular with them so I think it would make a great job for him to come into."

There has been general consensus in UK post-election commentary that a surge in youth voters significantly helped Jeremy Corbyn and Jared O'Mara's Labour Party.
