Portland residents were recently able to take a seat inside the Black Lodge's [extradimensional red room](https://creators.vice.com/en_us/article/twin-peaks-return-david-lynch-tribute-art-show) from [_Twin Peaks_](https://creators.vice.com/en_us/article/first-twin-peaks-reboot-teaser), the David Lynch-helmed cult series that recently began its third season on Showtime. With a technique we've seen from the likes of [celebrity street artist JR](https://creators.vice.com/en_us/article/artist-jr-disappears-louvre-pyramid), sculptor [Michael Murphy](https://creators.vice.com/en_us/article/america-guns-sculpture-illusion-rock-the-vote-dnc), and [Dublin-based street art crew Truly](https://creators.vice.com/en_us/article/griffin-3d-optical-illusion-graffiti-artists), Chicago-based artist [Nate Baranowski](http://www.natebaranowski.com) drew an anamorphic rendition of the room outside of Portland's famous Voodoo Doughnuts. Visitors could sit flat on the ground and appear to be lounging on the iconic set's cushy armchairs, as demonstrated in the video below.

Fans gathered in the streets of Portland, OR as artist Nate Baranowski created a 3D anamorphic version of the Twin Peaks Red Room.

The mystery that ensued set off an eerie chain of events that plunged the inhabitants of Twin Peaks into a darker examination of their very existence. Twenty-five years later, the story continues...
