New York contemporary art museum MoMA PS1 today announced that its summer music series Warm Up will return this year for its 20th anniversary season. The electronic music program has taken place in the Queens-based museum's courtyard every year since 1998, and to commemorate the milestone PS1 is offering a special ticket package that gets you access to all ten dates for $98. This year's edition will commence on Saturday, July 1 and run through Saturday, September 2.
The museum also announced that GHE20G0TH1K boss Venus X has joined the curatorial committee for Warm Up this year along with The FADER's editor in chief Naomi Zeichner and Mattis With of the Young Turks imprint. RVNG Intl founder Matt Werth and True Panther Sounds' Dean Bein will return to their positions on the committee as in previous years.
Interdisciplinary artist Jenny Sabin will create an installation in the courtyard for the 2017 season featuring photoluminescent textiles that alter their appearance over time.
The lineup for this year's edition of Warm Up hasn't been announced yet, but for reference, last year's featured Theo Parrish, Elysia Crampton, and Joy Orbison.
