LCD Soundsystem has cancelled their tour through Asia and Australia to focus on writing and recording the follow-up to 2010's This Is Happening. The tour was scheduled to begin at the Clockenflap Festival in Hong Kong this November.

The festival posted a note on their Facebook page confirming the cancellation of the group's appearance at the festival and other scheduled tour dates for the year in Asia and Australia. "Regrettably, we have some unfortunate news to share, as due to studio scheduling conflicts related to their new album, LCD Soundsystem have had to cancel their upcoming Asian tour at the end of the year, now including their appearance at Clockenflap 2016," the festival wrote.

The band has yet to officially confirm the cancellation of their upcoming appearances, but their website does not include any dates for the rest of the year after October.

In January of this year, LCD Soundsystem frontman James Murphy confirmed the band was hard at work on a new album to be released sometime in 2016.
