To go along with his newest EP Keramika, Pixelord has dropped a video for the release’s title track. Director Alex Sky interpreted Pixelord’s icy synth arpeggios with disembodied floating pyramids that dance around a CG world before invading reality and spazzing themselves into fragments. In the past, the young director has created varying visuals for tracks by other Russian electronica producers like Damscray and Nocow, this being his most CG-ed out project to date.Pixelord is one of the most lauded artists in the flourishing Moscow electronic scene, dropping beats that are wonky and technical yet rhythmically rooted and catchy. Regarding a particularly nasty track from last year called “Drinky,” fellow electronic artist Machinedrum was quoted as saying, “Drinky makes me hard.” Certainly a glowing review.Keramika is out now on Hit And Hope, and you can hear and download a little bonus piece below.
