Deshaun Watson is Putting on a Performance to Rival Vince Young's 2006 Rose Bowl

He looks like VY in 2006 against USC.

Clemson leads Alabama in the third quarter, 24-21, almost entirely due to the arms and legs of Heisman finalist Deshaun Watson.

The quarterback has been mesmerizing, cutting up an elite Alabama defense unlike anyone has done this year. No matter how good the Alabama pass rush is, Watson has gotten around it. Just watch this play:

Against every other quarterback in the country, that's a sack. But for Watson, it's a first down.

The obvious comparison to what Watson has done is Vince Young against USC in the 2006 National Championship, which was arguably the greatest championship performance of all time. Here are the numbers so far, extrapolated over four quarters for Watson.

Watson is putting up some insane passing yardage against Alabama, and while the rushing numbers aren't the same as what Young put up, this would be the first time the Crimson Tide have ever given up 100 rushing yards to a quarterback.

This is Lane Kiffin's worst nightmare.

.@ReggieBush @VinceYoung10 I've been waiting ten years and seven days….. #RTR
