Win Tickets to the 'Shut Up and Play the Hits' DVD Premiere

All you need to do is take a photo and put it on Instagram. Easy, right?

LCD Soundsystem are gone – over, kaput – leaving the world bereft of the perfect band for that moment at 3AM where you still want to keep partying and the only soundtrack that seems suitable is James Murphy yelping about Daft Punk. After 10 years together, they couldn't just fade away after announcing their split at some nondescript press conference. So, instead, they played a mammoth, instantly sold-out farewell show at Madison Square Garden and recorded it all for a DVD, Shut Up and Play the Hits, to be released on October 8th.

The premiere of the film happened back at the beginning of this month, but, clearly unable to completely leave everything behind, the band are holding a DVD premiere at Fabric nightclub on 4th October and we have a competition that will get you and a friend access, as well as a load of free LCD stuff so you can vicariously enjoy their music through that, rather than spending all day weeping over the fact they aren't around anymore.

To win a copy of the DVD, a book of photography focusing solely on the band, a t-shirt, a poster and two tickets to the DVD premiere at Fabric (three runners up win a t-shirt), all you need to do is take a picture of something that reminds you of the band and put it on Instagram, using the tags @Vice and #SUAPTH. It's so easy, it's stupid. Think about it: did you once cook some spaghetti while listening to "Dance Yrself Clean"? Well, take a picture of that spaghetti with an LCD album in the background, or something, and post it on Instagram. I dunno, it's so easy to do that I feel like an idiot even explaining it to you.

Below is an example picture we took, just in case you haven't quite grasped the concept yet.

There are regular updates on the film at its official Facebook and Twitter pages and, if you're not into winning free stuff, then you can pre-order the DVD here.

The competition runs from the 21st September to the 2nd October and is limited to UK entrants only. Good luck.
