The latest trend among South Korean couples who want to signal that they're together is to wear matching outfits. In most Western countries you might give her a hug, a peck on the cheek, or indulge in the old hands-in-each-other's-backpocket action. But how do you warn other males that your girl is spoken for in a country where holding hands in public has only recently become acceptable? Could you wear some kind of sign? What if that sign could cover your whole body? And be pink. Or checkered. And be 50 percent off when purchased together. We asked the following couples why they chose this particular way of showing their love, but since my Korean isn't very good yet, and their English is really weak, we kept it short…
Vice: Why did you choose to wear matching shirts?

Vice: Hey you guys, wait!

Vice: This photo is for an article about couple shirts, and…
[Guy becomes angry when he realises I'm from a magazine, and they both walk away.]
Vice: What's up with the couple shirts?
She picked it out.
Vice: What made you chose this particular shirt today?
We both like Adidas, so… just because.
Vice: Wait!
