BLACK LIPS UNPLUGGED

AOL has this little thing called the Interface. It's a pretty sweet feature/podcast where they have bands come in, play acoustic versions of their songs and do an interview. Wanna hear what "Lock & Key," "Bad Kids" and "How Do You Tell A Child Someone Has Died," sound like coming from wooden guitars? Here ya go. After the set, Joe slicked back his hair and interviewed Cole. Who knew the boys had such a hard-on for Edward Elgar? Check out all the madness over at the Interface.

Oh, and in case you missed it, here are some pics from the album release party, featuring a collection of weirdos, gold pants, gold teeth, newspaper hats, a shawl made of balloons, a dude with a big black furry phallus, a chick with pasties, a sousaphone, a trumpet, a couple of drummers, a dude that likes to light himself on fire, a confetti shooter (once used for feathers) and a whole bunch of jazzed kids.

The Bad Kids Parade from Soundfix on N11th and Bedford to the Music Hall of Williamsburg on N6th and Kent was one of the coolest times around. If you weren't there, check out the pix and check out the weirdo little clip MTV shot of the whole thing.

And who knew Cole could skateboard?
