Patrick Crotty is exhibiting new paper cut collages at Tokyo Stop on Frejgatan 17 in Stockholm tonight. His mind is occupied with these awesome robot-manga-cactus-dinosaur-porn-candy-space-wizard-alien fantasies—making those Japanese "Fruit" people seem like uninspired slobs in comparison—that he depicts with impressive paper, glue and scissor-skills. Patrick also runs the online Gallery Nebula and occasionally shows up at our office with all kinds of too-good-to-be-true true stories. We sometimes put him in the DOs & DON'Ts because it's funny when he gets upset about it and we occasionally "force" him to eat disgusting stuff or munch on boob milk pastry. Here's an exclusive sneak peek of his Yellow Fever exhibition opening at 7 PM tonight. This Cactaur (cactus guy) is chasing a sweating apple. He's from the Final Fantasy game series and don't be fooled by his funny appearance, he's a bad guy. For example, he's chasing an apple even though an apple has never hurt anyone except for Adam and Eve.This robot is from the Neon Genesis Evangelion anime series. The fact that he has no arms symbolizes a cold and serious personality, because without arms, it's harder to get close to somebody. The squatting position is a bathroom stance in central Asia. This Kaneda on a motorcycle on a neon sheet is a remake of my favourite Akira movie poster. I think it's the best anime movie ever made and the best manga series too. Rumours say a live action version is being made and that Leonardo DiCaprio is producing it. I didn't cut the neon sheet out of laziness. The pill up at the top symbolizes hallucinations from drug ingestion. Can you tell that this is the first time I've done an art analysis?
