Cardi B has released “Be Careful,” a new cut from her forthcoming debut album Invasion of Privacy. She teased the track late last night on Twitter, tweeting “I hope ya up at Midnight ;)” The new song doesn’t go as hard as other Cardi singles like “Bartier Cardi” and “Bodak Yellow”––instead, it finds the Bronx rapper delivering confessional bars over a mid tempo beat and an organ loop. Cardi also sings the hook, which is an anomaly for the rapper. It’s always fun to hear Cardi go hard as fuck, but it’s refreshing to hear a softer side of her, too.
Cardi’s last single was the 21 Savage-featuring “Bartier Cardi,” released late last year. Invasion of Privacy is set to be released April 6 on Atlantic Records, and is her first full length release since she dropped Gangsta Bitch Music Vol 2 in early 2017.
