Regardless of climate change-denying rhetoric, cold hard facts prove our ecosystem is changing. A short documentary filled with thoughtful commentary and carefully curated visuals, In This Climate deftly sets the stage for an in-depth discussion on the deterioration of environmental health.
Arguments from major economists and artists contribute to the film’s well-rounded narrative. According to passionate and informed commentary, the planet’s crippled health can no longer be brushed under the rug. An increasingly globalized society provides the right conditions to mount an offensive against the deteriorating state of Planet Earth.

Described in the documentary preview as “the greatest threat facing humanity,” the urgency of climate change is communicated through passionate appeals and aerial views of the melting polar caps. The film incorporates interviews with residents of rural towns hit hard by environmental shifts, as well as with prominent climate experts and members of the creative community.
Above all, In This Climate does not mince words about the gravity of the situation. “Everything we’re experiencing today is from the emissions twenty years ago,” one expert extols, while another scientist warns, “They’re saying by 2050, we’ll have more plastic in the ocean than fish.”
The film features commentary from Marina Abramović, Mark Ruffalo, Cher, Noam Chomsky, Vivienne Westwood, and Ian McEwan, among others. The film is produced by the cultural diplomacy organization Liberatum, and directed by Liberatum founder Pablo Ganguli and creative director Tomas Auksas.
