The HBO Hackers Just Leaked New 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' Episodes

The hackers who claim to have stolen 1.5 terabytes of HBO episodes, scripts, and confidential information leaked another cache of data over the weekend, including episodes from the long-awaited ninth season of Curb Your Enthusiasm, Variety reports.

The new season—the first new episodes of Larry David's show in six years—is scheduled to premiere on HBO this October.

Along with the new Curb, the data dump included new episodes of Insecure, Ballers, and the pilot for The Deuce, David Simon's upcoming series about 1970s porn starring a heavily mustachioed James Franco.

The release comes a week after hackers demanded a multimillion-dollar ransom in a video to HBO head Richard Plepler. HBO reportedly reached out to ask for a week extension on the hackers' deadline and offered $250,000 for "making us aware of security vulnerabilities we had not previously know about."

"As a show of good faith on our side," HBO allegedly wrote in a letter to the hackers, "we are willing to commit to making a bug bounty payment of $250,000 to you as soon as we can establish the necessary account and acquire bitcoin, or we can wire the funds as soon as you give us the account information."

The hackers apparently weren't interested in HBO's negotiations. On Friday, they made the HBO letter public and quickly followed with the new batch of leaks on Sunday.

"We are not in communication with the hacker and we're not going to comment every time a new piece of information is released," HBO said in a new statement about the release. "It has been widely reported that there was a cyber incident at HBO. The hacker may continue to drop bits and pieces of stolen information in an attempt to generate media attention. That's a game we're not going to participate in. Obviously, no company wants their proprietary information stolen and released on the internet. Transparency with our employees, partners, and the creative talent that works with us has been our focus throughout this incident and will remain our focus as we move forward. This incident has not deterred us from ensuring HBO continues to do what we do best."
