Blue Lake Holiday Park owner Sheryl Murray said the pollen is visibly thick on the water, like yellow paint.

A new study reveals small changes to school environments can help post-earthquake suffering for Cantabrian school children.
The University of Canterbury began the study in 2015, focusing on five primary schools around Christchurch.nIt found that by adjusting meal break times, and removing items that hung from ceilings children's anxiety was reduced.
Associate Professor of Health Sciences, Dr Kathleen Liberty said the strategies produced a remarkable change in the schools, around 30 per cent of children had gone from having a few behavioural issues and that went down to zero.
Dr Liberty added that the university hopes to continue the study in Canterbury high schools beginning 2019.Christchurch quake still felt from floods
Residents say Southshore, a Christchurch suburb, has been left to the dangers of the Pacific Ocean by the city council.
It is bordered by the Ocean and the Avon Heathcote Estuary, which was raised during the Christchurch earthquakes and regularly floods.
Christchurch City Council handed the management of the South Brighton Motor Camp on the edge of the estuary over to the Hawkins family.
While a Council spokesperson said they "believe they notified all bidders of the risks" of flooding, Mr Hawkins said they neglected to explain that. The Tennis Club next door to the camp also gets extremely flooded.
President Mark Condon says his club is regularly underwater, and that they feel neglected.
The Christchurch City Council is expected to receive a report to look at flood protection options tomorrow.India repeals traditional divorce laws

India is one of several Muslim countries where instant divorce is possible for a man, when he says "talaq", which means divorce, 3 times. 5 Muslim women and 2 women's rights groups approached the Supreme Court, and filed a case requesting the practice be declared unconstitutional. While the practice has existed for decades, Islamic scholars said the practice is not present in Sharia law or the Koran. A US Naval Destroyer has collided with a Liberian Oil Tanker off the coast of Singapore. 10 naval officers are missing after an embarassing crash that has left more questions than answers. Naval Admiral John Richardson tweeted that this may be the result of a cyber-attack. This was the fourth crash involving a US Navy ship this year alone. In response, the US has ordered an "operational pause" of it's entire international naval fleet.North Korean weaponry equipment seized in transit
Two shipments from North Korea to Syrian government agencies responsible for chemical weapons manufacturing have been intercepted. A report provided to the United Nations Security Council by Reuters reveals both shipments were in the past 6 months. While the report does not specify what the shipment contained, the Syrian Scientific Studies and Research Centre is known to have been custodian of the North Korean state's most sensitive secrets, including nuclear research, as well as ballistic missiles and and an air defence programme. Hamish de Bretton-Gordon, a former head of the British military's chemical, biological and radiological weapons programme said the North Koreans have been desperate for currency and are willing to sell technology to anyone. The US Treasury secretary, Steven Munchin, announced more sanctions on North Korean allies on Tuesday. Munchin said that the states will continue to increase pressure on North Korea by targeting those who support the advancement of nuclear and ballistic missile programmes and isolating them from the American financial system.Donald Trump's image used in ecstatic smuggling attempt
Five thousand Trump-shaped ecstasy tablets have been seized in Germany. A middle aged father and teenage son were caught driving back from Holland with the tablets. The german uber-team claimed to be returning home after a car purchase went bad. The pair are currently in police custody along with $63,000 worth of confiscated pills. The party drugs were coloured orange in reference to a popular meme.Chile set to ease their total ban on abortions
The Constitutional Court in Santiago has voted to approve a bill proposing an reduction on their abortion ban. It has been ruled that pregnancy as a result of rape, and pregnancy posing a danger to the mother or foetus justified termination. The judges' ruling, which was 6-4 in favour, has been welcomed by women's rights groups. 6 other Roman Catholic countries practice a ban in all circumstances. Due to deep Catholic roots, abortion remains deeply controversial. However and estimated 70% of Chileans support easing restrictions.Mumbai factory waste is responsible for colourful canines
The manufacturing plant faced widespread criticism after dumping chemical waste into the waterways. The Kasadi River flows through the industrial area with almost 1,000 chemical, pharmaceutical, engineering and food processing factories. At least 11 dogs were dyed a bright blue, and while there was no recorded health problems, the dynamic photos quickly went viral.
