Here's Lorde Performing "Perfect Places" with a Choir Wearing Tracksuits

She showed up on 'Late Night with Seth Meyers' to talk 'Melodrama.'

Recently Lorde released Melodrama, one of the most interesting albums we've heard this year, and the second from the New Zealand singer-songwriter. Last night, she popped up on Late Night with Seth Meyers to chat a little about the record, and to give a performance of rousing album closer "Perfect Places," backed by a young choir dressed in identical tracksuits and Adidas sneakers, as she was at the MMVAs (both performances are also kinda reminiscent of her Glastonbury show, which saw her backed by teens suspended in a glass box behind her).

She also spoke about her synesthesia—discussed at length in this profile for the New York Times—which she says helps and hinders her songwriting process. While seeing "colors and textures and forms" when you hear music and words is very cool, it's also difficult to explain to "synesthesia muggles," which is Lorde's name for everyone else who isn't similarly gifted.
