A spaceship mixed with a 1971 Dodge Challenger explores an alien galaxy and discovers new dimensions in the forthcoming full-length VR film, Go Baby Go, from Moving Picture Company (MPC) VR, the virtual reality section of the visual effects studio famous for The Jungle Book, The Martian, and Life of Pi. Directed by Rob Petrie and produced by Tim Dillon, both of MPC, the film pioneers a number of new imaging techniques for VR experiences.

Go Baby Go appears to have been inspired by film noir, as well as fantasy films like Star Wars. Meanwhile, the soundtrack for the film was created by Q Department and Mach 1™, both audio studios with a focus in VR sound technology. The music carries the viewer through the futuristic landscape with an energetic score of 1980s-inspired electropop.While a specific release date has not yet been declared, the studio hopes to release Go Baby Go later this year. A first look at the film, however, was released by MPC VR just last week, and it gives viewers a glimpse of what this VR experience has in store.
