Tumblr artist Juan Betancourt may have just earned himself a place in the rock'n'roll pantheon with this series of seriously heavy animated album covers. The iconic images that once defined Nirvana, Led Zeppelin, Daft Punk, and Metallica are transformed into minature moving worlds through Betancourt's GIF artistry—a practice he took up for strictly personal reasons, according to his website, but couldn't help sharing with the world. We're glad he did—listening to Dark Side of the Moon while watching the rotating prism of JB's GIF'ed version makes spinning records take on a whole new meaning.
