Travis Scott Releases Statement About Fan Who Fell From Balcony During His Show

The fan broke his leg during Scott's show at New York's Terminal 5.

During his show at New York's Terminal 5 this past weekend, Travis Scott was captured encouraging fans to jump from the venue's balcony. In a video posted to Twitter by hip-hop photographer Ravie B, Scott is seen screaming to the contemplative fan "I see you, but are you gon' do it?" Assuring the fan's safety, he said, "They gon' catch you. Don't be scared!" The fan jumped down into the crowd as Travis started his "A-Team" track.

Though the fan seen in the video was not injured, two more fan who were not captured made a similar leaps later on in the show, with one breaking his leg as a result. Pitchfork reports that representatives for Scott have released a statement addressing the incident. "The safety of everyone is held in the highest regard and we are currently conducting an internal investigation to ensure that this does not happen again," the statement reads. "We are deeply concerned about the guest who was injured and intend to offer him our support." Whether or not the fan was pushed off of the balcony is being investigated as well. Hopefully this will be a lesson to fans to not listen everything rappers tell them to do. Smoking weed, sure. Following their fashion trends, cool. Jumping off of balconies, nah.
