LuckyMe Shares New Tracks from Hudson Mohawke, DJ Paypal, and Inkke on Their Advent Calendar

They will be giving away nine more free tracks from their extended camp this holiday season.

For seven years now, London-based label LuckyMe has blessed each holiday season with an advent calendar of rarities, exclusive tracks, and alternative versions from their extended family. The tradition has been so well-received that other labels have been inspired to do something similar, so for this year's edition they've decided to switch things up a little bit.

Their advent calendar started on Christmas, instead of ending there, which turns the calendar into a celebration of the new year, too. The label summed it up in a statement on their website: "That way we get away from the imitators and look forward to 2016." They'll also be making a donation to the Syrian refugee crisis from all the proceeds and royalties from the compilation, which follows up last year's request from fans for donations to Marie Curie Cancer Care.

So far, the advent calendar has gifted freebies from Kanye West producer Hudson Mohawke (covering John Carpenter's Escape From New York theme), footwork experimenter DJ Paypal, and Glasgow producer Inkke, in that order. You can stream all three below, and stay tuned to the calendar for the next nine days to see what LuckyMe has in store. While you're at it, have another look at our recent documentary on HudMo here, too.
