Oh God, Just Shut Up, J.J. Watt

J.J. Watt's least impressive muscle is his tongue.

After the Texans beat the Bengals 10-6 in a thrilling game on Monday Night Football, ferocious NFL image macro J.J. Watt told ESPN that the plan was to make Andy Dalton, who is known as the Red Rifle because of his hair, look like a Red Rider bb gun. This sound byte belongs in a Republican Primary debate or something.

When told about Watt's comments, Dalton, for his part, said some weird stuff about the integrity of the game and expressed his disappointment in Watt—he was thinking about the kids. Each man goes out of his way to praise the other's skill, but I wish Dalton had just told Watt to shut up and check out the standings.

Watt was also fired up in pre-game, exhorting his huddled up teammates before kickoff (and in front of ESPN cameras) to do the unthinkable: beat the the Bengals. He went back to the that theme after the game, too. "Nobody believes in us" is obviously the go-to fire-up speech, but I promise you, J.J. Watt, no one cared whether the 3-5 Texans could shock the world and become 4-5 by beating the Bengals. Huh, the Texans won. How 'bout that?, is about all anyone could muster.
