Andrew Bogut's tenure with the Cleveland Cavaliers is over. After two minutes.

The perma-crook former no 1 draft pick had recently been claimed by the Cavaliers off waivers from Philadelphia, and was making his first appearance for the reigning NBA champions against the Miami Heat today when the injury occurred.

Bogut, who hails from Melbourne, appeared to collide with Heat forward Okara White two minutes after he got onto the court. He clutched his left leg and had to be helped from the court by team mates Tristan Thompson and James Jones.

After X-rays and a doctor's check at the Cleveland Clinic, the Aussie - who has played for the Milwaukee Bucks, Golden State Warriors and Dallas Mavericks since 2005 - was found to have suffered a fractured left tibia. It is unknown how long he'll be out of action.

More hard luck for a bloke who has been dogged by it his entire NBA career. Feel for ya, mate.
