It’s the lazy person’s stalking, using Google Street View to hunt out images of people caught on the all seeing camera of the Googlemobile. But that’s what photographer Michael Wolf does; he scans Street View looking for unusual images or people caught in unusual poses and photographs them from his screen. He then crops them to present a creepy voyeuristic snapshot of our privacy precious world, but uncannily removed from reality not just through the filter of Google’s camera, but also the secondary filter of Wolf himself. To see if you or your friends have been made unwitting subjects on Manhattan Street View, have a look at his exhibition iseeyou at the Bruce Silverstein Gallery in New York City beginning on October 28th.[via New York Magazine]
