Mark Ronson’s impressive new single “Bang Bang Bang” debuted last night on Zane Lowe’s Radio 1 show, as the Lowe’s so-called Hottest Record In The World Today. The tune lives up to the title. It’s a funky, bright, vibing electro-pop summer-breeze of a track that will have you shuffling your way through still the end of the summer. If you missed the show, don’t worry yourself: You can hear the song on Zane’s blog page, or by going here. The track will be released on July 11 and features the vocal talents of rapper Q-Tip and singer MNDR. And a little contribution from Kaiser Chiefs drummer Nick Hodgson. Mr Ronson, you are really spoiling us.With this and the 8-bit influenced “Circuit Breaker”, there should be no doubt in anyone’s mind that Mark’s forthcoming album, Record Collection, featuring new band The Business Intl (and no covers), is going to be another runaway success full of exciting, eclectic tracks and another round of collaborations that will have you overcome with joy. Expect names like Ghostface, Wiley, Boy George, and plenty more to make you impatient with anticipation. Suddenly the September release date seems very far away.
