Multi-discipline artistic whirlwind FKA twigs seems to be making herself pretty comfortable on our screens of late. Following the BBC4 premiere of her dance/music/poetry/everything film Soundtrack 7 late last month, she has now released a full length documentary entitled Baltimore Dance Project.
Baltimore Dance Project, kind of obviously, covers Twigs’ open call dance workshop in the city, held in July this year, from which dancers for a live performance were later chosen. The film is typically hypnotic and atmospheric, and gives a closer look at the performance practice of one of our most important working icons if that’s your bag, which of course it should be, because Twigs is a perfect, fascinating wizard.
