Animal Collective Is Planning to Drop a New Record in 2015

According to Noah Lennox, a.k.a. Panda Bear.

Noah Lennox, a.k.a. Panda Bear, sat down with BBC6 earlier today and made mention of a new Animal Collective album in the works, Stereogum reports. Lennox didn't have any solid dates or studio plans, but he said that the band is writing and that it's "safe to say that sometime this year, we'll record." It's been almost two and a half years since Animal Collective released their last album, 2012's schizophrenic Centipede Hz, so it's about time they drop some new music. That isn't to say the band has been lazy—Panda Bear released an excellent solo album, Panda Bear Meets the Grim Reaper, last January.
